Caustic pumps

Pumps for caustic soda, sodium hydroxide - is a reactive alkali, which in dry form is a white or yellowish powder. The chemical is widely used in various industries: food, cosmetics, oil refining, for flushing systems and equipment for the purpose of disinfection, cleaning equipment, etc.

Chemical properties of caustic soda

dissolves in water, while with a large release of heat;
soluble in alcohols: ethanol, methanol. When combined with alcohols, it forms alcoholates;
melting point - 323 °C;
boiling point - 1403 °C;
when interacting with non-ferrous metals (zinc, aluminum, lead) causes a chemical reaction with the release of hydrogen;
the property of absorbing carbon from the air with caustic soda, is used in industrial production for the purification of gases and organic liquids.

It is supplied to industrial production in the form of a powder, and for narrowly targeted industries in the form of solutions.

Applications of pumps for caustic soda (caustic)
