Vortex pumps - a group of pumping equipment, a distinctive feature of which is the type of working body - a vortex wheel.
A vortex wheel is a disc with radially spaced blades (this type of pump is mainly used for water supply), or an open-type wheel with radial blades, as in the NOVAX and BE series pumps from ROVER POMPE.
Open impeller pumps have a wider range of applications, due to the ability to pump liquids with the presence of air bubbles. Depending on the material of the impeller and pump housing, these pumps can handle liquids such as water, milk, wine, sunflower oil, vinegar, liquid neutral detergents, diesel fuel and many others.
Another important advantage of these pumps is the ability to reverse feed - that is, by changing the direction of rotation, we can pump and pump out liquid from the same container without reconnecting the hoses.
The most famous manufacturers of vortex pumps are such companies as Pedrollo, Liverani, ENOITALIA, Adam Pumps
