A distillation column is a column-type apparatus with vertical placement in the body of which the process of repeated evaporation of liquid occurs.
Distillation columns are used in the processes of distillation, extractive distillation, extraction of liquids, heat exchange between steam and liquid and in other processes.
The column can be used for conventional distillation to produce alcohol, as well as to obtain a qualitatively distilled product, maximally purified from harmful fractions, while preserving the properties of the raw material.
