The COLOMBO® FILTRO PULCINO® FILTER consists of a special electric pump and a filtration system called a liquid system with pressed sheets. This particular type of filtration allows for an excellent level of beverage purification without changing the basic characteristics of the decanted liquid; for this reason, it is particularly appreciated for household filtration, but also in the professional sector, such as wine cellars, pharmaceutical factories, laboratories, breweries; in short, wherever it is necessary to filter the drink so that it can be served or bottled completely transparent and without any trace of unwanted residues.
It is particularly suitable for filtering wine, water, infusions, beer, pharmaceutical solutions, perfumes. It does not require special care, except for the usual cleaning. Filtration is the last step in wine production, requiring knowledge of some basic precautions. Young wine (30 days) is not ready for fine filtration. By following our instructions, you will find the right way to achieve good filtering.R. For best results, the wine should be aged for at least two to three months and brought to room temperature before filtration. During this time, the wine takes shape and allows most of the suspended parts to settle. At this stage, use the filter press to finish the wine. If an excellent finish is required, use rinse aid filters. Don't forget to wait two to four days between one filter and the other. If, on the other hand, you want to filter out the new wine (30 days), you should always use a coarse filter first; immediately after, you can use a finishing filter. During filtration, the new wine is shaken due to the presence of CO2 (carbon dioxide) generated during fermentation; wait a few hours before bottling the wine.
The pump can be used to pump any type of ordinary liquid that does not need to be chemically aggressive or abrasive. Some examples: water, wine, milk, vinegar, low-viscosity oil solutions, neutral liquid detergents, diesel fuel.
Normal maintenance requires a small amount and simple interventions, as if it were a normal household appliance. After use, drain clean water to flush the inner surfaces of the pump. The electric motor does not require maintenance, there are no parts for lubrication. The outer parts must be cleaned with a slightly damp sponge, and then immediately dried with a cloth.
