DRAGON series chemical centrifugal plastic pumps from the Italian company FLUIMAC are high-performance pumps driven by a direct-drive electric motor for fast pumping and draining of liquids with a flow rate of 6 to 40 m3/h. The special semi-open impeller design allows continuous pumping of even dirty liquids with a relative viscosity of up to 500 cps. and small suspended solids. DRAGON centrifugal pumps have a robust pump housing and an inspection hole for connecting the electric motor and checking the mechanical seal. The semi-open impeller is mounted on the pump shaft, which is connected to the drive shaft of the electric motor. The mechanical shaft seal is located at the rear of the impeller. The DRAGON mechanical seal is designed with a bellows made of 100% pure PTFE for extremely corrosion-resistant applications. The entire seal assembly and its components are mechanically driven to prevent slippage on the shaft or sleeve. The seal assembly is mounted externally and is under internal pressure. DRAGON centrifugal pumps should only be installed with the shaft horizontal and with positive suction head. Appropriate devices must be installed to prevent dry running, eddies and possible air entrainment. Dry running or operation with air bubbles can damage the mechanical seal.
