Насоси з магнітною муфтою, на відміну від інших хімічних насосів мають істотну особливість - в конструкції цих насосів не використовується торцеве ущільнення, сальник або інший ущільнюючий елемент подібного типу. Привід робочого органу здійснюється за допомогою магнітного поля, робоча камера та приводний вал розділені нерухомим кожухом з хімічний стійкого матеріалу. Це виключає можливість витоку рідини з робочої камери. Магнітна муфта не боїться твердих частинок в рідині, немає можливості протікання, що не маловажливо при перекачуванні хімічно активних і вибухонебезпечних рідин. На відміну від насосів з механічним ущільненням, насоси обладнані магнітною муфтою не вимагають технічного обслуговування (що призводить до економії коштів і часу).
