Sewer installations - a device designed for pumping waste water where it is impossible or difficult to remove it by gravity: below the level of the sewer or far from the main riser.
In the basement and basement floors, it is not always possible (and the desire) to break the floor, drill walls and install a drain structure, sewer pipes, and, of course, this is quite costly. In this case, the following option is possible: small diameter pipes are installed above the floor, connected to a sewer system, located, for example, on the upper floors, and pumping units pump waste water through them.
Another common problem is that the main sewer pipe is located far from the intended place of installation of the bathroom, in this case, the most powerful pumping units are installed, for example, with two motors.
Special installations - sewage pumps - can solve the problem with the organization of sewage in the basement. They are designed to pump domestic and sewage wastewater in the right direction, depending on the manufacturer, they are made of metal-plastic, plastic and steel.
Also, a toilet in the basement or at the basement level is capable of functioning with the help of a submersible pump, which is mounted directly into the well of the sewer system. It pumps waste water into a septic tank or into a central communal sewer network.
Installation of a sewage pumping station in the basement of a house is not a redevelopment and does not require registration with communal control organizations.

Most often, the installation is discreetly placed under the shower tray, immediately behind the toilet or in the washstand. The pump is connected through a branch pipe, and since the device is powered by the network, it means that there must be an outlet nearby. In addition, an RCD (Electric Shock Protection Device) must be installed. Since the pump is "smart" equipment, the commissioning must be entrusted to professionals.
Self-service of the pumps, with the exception of removing foreign objects that accidentally got into the housing, is reduced to removing limescale if the pump is operated in areas with a high concentration of salts in water (hard water) or fat deposits. Domestic pumping stations must be subject to professional maintenance at least once a year.
