Lip F A4-28347 - Piston Seal, FOA PTFE Power Seal
Special asymmetric PTFE seals with lips supported by a special spring. Under pressure, the spring opens and presses the sealing edge of the product against the groove - this achieves a seal.
This product uses a meander spring (V-spring), the most versatile of all spring types. Thanks to its special design, it is suitable for universal use - it works both in a static position and in a rotating or reciprocating motion. The steel from which the spring is made enhances the sealing effect, while maintaining all the material properties of the main seal.
Rings with springs are used for changing pressure: when the pressure is high, the cuff can be opened without the aid of a spring, when the pressure does not exceed 50-80 bar, the spring acts as an expander and allows the seal to work.
The profile design ensures low friction operation and also provides high dry running performance. Excellent chemical and temperature resistance. Can be used in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries.
