Metal bellows seals R-MFL WT80 for pumps used in oil refining. Metal welded bellows made of AM350, Inconel, secondary static seal made of graphoil. Metal seals are designed for extreme temperatures and highly viscous media. The absence of a dynamically loaded rubber ring makes them immune to shaft deposits.
The Type R-MFL WT80 is a general purpose high temperature stationary metal bellows block for applications up to 425C /800 °F. Available in AM350 or Alloy 718, its rugged construction provides maximum reliability.
The stationary bellows design allows for high shaft-seal chamber displacement. Unlike rotary seals, which must bend with each revolution to accommodate the misalignment between the shaft and the seal chamber, the Stationary Type 604 adapts to this condition by flexing only once during installation.
This reduces the movement of the seal, which results in a longer seal life. Typical applications include hot hydrocarbons, aqueous solutions, aromatic fractionation products, crude oil fractionation products, and heat transfer fluids.
