The film-type apparatus is designed to increase the concentration of the product by evaporation of water. In film-type apparatuses there is no hydrostatic depression, which increases the overall temperature difference on the body. The apparatus can operate under atmospheric pressure or under vacuum at temperatures of 40-70 °C, the main disadvantages of the apparatus are the complexity of the design and the limited heating surface (up to 25 m2).
