The mechanical seal consists of two parts: fixed and movable. The moving part is a counter ring pressed by a spring. The most basic advantage of mechanical seals is the fact that the wear of the rubbing parts of the mechanical seal is compensated by the movement of the mechanical seal ring in the main direction under the action of the mechanical seal spring to another stationary ring. The moving part is fixed to the motor shaft and rotates with it. The fixed part is a ring fixed in the pump housing.
